Two friends get together for lunch. Elsa Schmidt has a lively sausage dog called Max and Harriet Carew has a quick tempered bald eagle called Archie (Archibald-Eagle). Carefully separated, Archie and Max are left in Mrs Carew's house while the friends go to lunch. Max finds a way to let Archie out and they go flying using the carry handle on Max's jacket and together, they fly all over Kathmandu.
